Overview:

You will be responsible for developing and executing digital marketing strategies to raise awareness, engage donors, and drive support for our mission. You will leverage various digital channels to amplify our message, increase online visibility, and cultivate a community of supporters. This role requires a creative thinker with a passion for social impact and expertise in digital marketing techniques.

Responsibilities:

Strategy Development

  • Develop and implement comprehensive digital marketing strategies aligned with the organization’s goals and target audience.
  • Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of digital campaigns and adjust strategies accordingly.

Content Creation and Management

  • Create compelling and relevant content for various digital platforms including websites, social media, email newsletters, and blogs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather content such as success stories, impact reports, and campaign updates.
  • Manage content calendars and ensure timely delivery of content across all digital channels.

Social Media Management

  • Manage and grow the NGO’s presence on social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and others.
  • Develop engaging social media campaigns to drive user engagement, increase followership, and promote advocacy.
  • Monitor social media channels for trends, conversations, and opportunities for engagement.
  • Analyze social media insights and metrics to track performance and optimize strategies for increased reach, engagement, and follower growth.

Audience Growth and Optimization

  • Identify target audiences and develop strategies to expand our reach and increase followers across social media platforms.
  • Utilize SEO techniques to optimize content visibility and increase organic traffic.
  • Collaborate with content creators, influencers, and other partners to reach new audiences and enhance brand visibility.

Paid Advertising Campaigns

  • Plan, execute, and optimize paid advertising campaigns on social media platforms, with a focus on platforms such as Facebook Ads, Instagram Ads, LinkedIn Ads, Taboola Ads, Display Networks, PPC, etc.
  • Manage advertising budgets and ad performance effectively to achieve desired objectives and ROI.
  • Conduct A/B testing and analyze performance metrics to refine targeting, messaging, and creative elements for maximum effectiveness.
  • Ability to tailor content as per audience demographics across social media channels (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, etc.) for all digital marketing campaigns.

Creative Content Development

  • Conceptualize and create compelling and visually appealing content for digital platforms, including graphics, videos, blog posts, and interactive media.
  • Collaborate with the social media team and other team members to produce high-quality content aligned with brand guidelines and marketing objectives.

Email Marketing

  • Develop and execute email marketing campaigns to communicate with supporters and donors.
  • Segment email lists and personalize content to maximize engagement and conversions.
  • Analyze email campaign performance and optimize strategies based on insights.

Website Optimization

  • Ensure the NGO’s website is user-friendly, visually appealing, and optimized for search engines (SEO).
  • Continuously update website content and design to reflect organizational updates and campaign initiatives.
  • Monitor website analytics to track visitor behavior and identify areas for improvement.

Analytics and Reporting

  • Monitor and analyze digital marketing metrics to assess the performance of campaigns and initiatives.
  • Prepare regular reports on digital marketing performance, highlighting successes, challenges, and recommendations for improvement.
  • Use data-driven insights to inform future strategies and tactics.
  • Ensuring all current marketing and copyright regulations, accepted professional standards, policies, procedures, and legislation are adhered to across the team.

Some technical skills include:

  • Financial skills for budgeting.
  • Web analytics.
  • Abandoned cart analysis tools.
  • Open and close email rates analysis.
  • Bounce rates analysis.
  • Domain authority site ranking research.

Knowledge of:

  • Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite, email, and presentation software.
  • Familiarity with typical office protocols, methods, and equipment.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and adherence to safe working procedures.
  • Skill in maintaining precise record-keeping.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Certifications in Digital Marketing, Analytica tools, etc. will be an added advantage.

Required Background, Experience and Skills:

  • Total 6+ years of experience in digital marketing, preferably in the ecommerce, nonprofit sector, or with social impact organizations.
  • 6+ years of experience and a strong understanding of digital marketing channels including social media, email marketing, SEO, PPC, and content marketing.
  • 6+ years of experience and proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Facebook Business Manager, Hootsuite, Mailchimp, etc.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to create compelling content for diverse audiences.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to generate innovative ideas and campaigns.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights.
