Where we work

Adoption & Fostering

When you adopt a pet, you’re a hero by saving a life. Not only are you providing a forever home, but you’re also reducing the number of homeless pets in our community.

Fostering a dog is one of the most rewarding experiences you can have (other than adopting, of course). By taking an animal in need temporarily into your home you’re- freeing up a spot so the shelter or rescue can take in another dog.

Spaying & Neutering

Spay and neuter, routine surgical procedures which prevent animals from reproducing, are the answers to this facet of the homeless animal problem. Not only do spaying and neutering prevent overpopulation, they are also of benefit to the animals.

Studies show spayed and neutered animals live longer, healthier lives with fewer medical and behavioral problems like urine-marking and may stop it altogether.

Sponsor a day meal

Sponsoring a dog is a great way to help, whether the dog is in a shelter or lucky enough to be in a foster home.

Sponsoring helps to cover the on-going cost of caring for the animal. If you would like to sponsor a dog, it is easy! Each dog has a link for sponsorship (listed in the passive adoption page); just click that link and you will be taken to a page explaining how give. And please remember, that just because a dog already has a sponsor, does NOT mean that you can't sponsor the same dog!

Medical Aid

Sarvoham provides help and assistance to groups, individuals and organisations that needs emergency and long term medical help for their animals.

Our medical assistance usually falls into two categories. Emergency/Accident and Long Term Medical Assistance.

EMERGENCY & ACCIDENT MEDICAL AID

Often the victims of hit and run accidents, fights or abuse - many of these street dogs and cats require life saving, emergency treatment.

LONG TERM MEDICAL ASSISTANCE

There are dogs that need long term help with problems like kidney failure, heart conditions, cancer and much more. Many of these dogs have had hard lives, through ill-treatment, malnutrition and have been abandoned - but they still have so much love to give.

Food Drive

It's a daily struggle to feed the shelter animals. Help us by buying one of food bundle. Raising 1,000 KG of pet food in one month is a huge undertaking. To reach our goal, we are always looking for volunteers who would like to sponsor pet food and pet supply drives at local businesses, churches, schools, parties or other special events, and any other venue that you can think of!

For your pet food drive to be a success, it’s important that you tap into your community for support. For example, you can start by contacting the pet shops in your local area to find out if they are willing to put collection bins in their stores.

Community Care

For many of us, dogs, cats, and other animal companions are not "pets," but beloved members of our families. Sarvoham is committed to protecting the companion animals with whom millions of people share their lives.

We address the issue of companion animal well-being in a variety of ways, including fighting the abhorrent practice of pound seizure; encouraging spaying and neutering; opposing breeding and supporting adoption from shelters or rescue groups; educating the public about companion animal health issues such as seasonal safety and nutrition; strengthening protections for animals sold in retail venues, and much more.
